Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. Your efforts will help enhance the quality of life for those with diverse needs, including seniors and individuals with disabilities or dementia.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities
- Support medication administration following proper protocols and documentation
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Support clients with activities that foster independence and social engagement
Skills
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments
- Knowledge of senior care practices and dementia care techniques
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Strong caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication
- Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and schedules
