Job Summary
Instruction of the following University level English courses.
- Composition-Writing Skills (ENGL 250)
- Aboriginal Literature (ENGL 125)
- Literary Analysis (ENGL 124)
- Creative Writing (ENGL 214)
Reporting Relationship
This position reports directly to the University Studies (USD) Department Head.
Duties
- Submit course outlines to the Department Head
- Maintain daily attendance records for submission into the Orbund Database
- Submit periodic progress reports as requested by the Department Head
- Maintain our hybrid course delivery model, which includes providing both in class instruction
- and online instruction through Google Meets
- Grade course assignments for calculation and submission of midterm and final grades
- Provide course final marks to Department Head within 5 business days of final class
- Establish weekly office hours for students seeking extra assistance

Course Delivery
Monitor students’ progress:
1) Mark clearly, including corrective comments;
2) Return assignments & attendance promptly; and
3) Submit all final marks within 5 days of the final exam date.
Each course runs for a 3-hour block per week for 14-15 weeks per term starting Fall 2026.
Educational Requirements
- A Master’s degree or Ph.D in English, or equivalent.
