About the role
Working under the supervision and direction of a registered Speech-Language Pathologist, you'll deliver therapy programs to pediatric & school age clients with special needs in our learning centre. You'll play a hands-on role in each child's progress, from running planned sessions to tracking outcomes and keeping families informed.
What you'll do
- Deliver individual and group therapy sessions as planned and directed by the supervising SLP
- Support children with speech, language, communication, and related goals in centre
- Prepare therapy materials and adapt activities to keep young clients engaged and motivated
- Observe, record, and report client progress and data to the supervising SLP
- Communicate warmly and professionally with parents, caregivers, and other external parties
- Maintain accurate documentation in line with clinic policies and privacy requirements
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming therapy space
What you bring
- Diploma in Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA) program, or equivalent SLPA training/credentials
- Experience working with children with special needs in a therapy, education, or clinical setting (an asset)
- Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine enjoyment of working with kids and families
- Reliable, organized, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
