Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Crew Closer to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth closing of the restaurant at the end of each shift, maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and customer service. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing food, handling transactions, and ensuring the restaurant is clean and ready for the next day. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food service operations within a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation and ensure all food items meet quality standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for processing transactions accurately
- Handle cash and credit card payments with proper cash handling procedures
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner to enhance their dining experience
- Perform food safety and sanitation procedures in accordance with health regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas during closing hours
- Restock supplies and organize storage areas for efficiency
- Upsell menu items to increase sales opportunities
- Manage time effectively to complete closing duties promptly and efficiently
- Ensure all closing tasks are completed, including cleaning, securing cash registers, and locking up the restaurant
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently under time management constraints during busy closing hours
