The purpose of this course is to provide a fundamental understanding of marketing research methods employed by well-managed firms. The course is aimed at the manager who is the ultimate user of the research and the one responsible for determining the scope and direction of research activities.
Required Qualifications:
Senior (at least fourth year) PhD student in Marketing in an accredited doctoral program with relevant subject matter expertise, or a PhD in a relevant subject area, or a Master's degree in a relevant subject and 5 years of managerial/professional experience in marketing with a focus on work directly related to market research for consumer / customer / competitor insights. A strong understanding of research design, data analytics and strategic application of research is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Ph.D. prferred in a relevant subject area. demonstrated teaching excellence at McMaster or another university in a relevant subject area, more than 3 years of related managerial/professional experience.
This position requires regular on-site attendance at a McMaster University campus to support operational requirements. Flexible work arrangements may be available where operationally feasible and in accordance with the University's Flexible Work Guidelines.
*Supplemented Fees- Article 15.02 The employee may be eligible to receive supplemented fees in accordance with Schedule B of the Collective Agreement. The actual rate of pay when in excess of the base rate of pay is deemed to include any supplemented fees owing, to the extent of the excess amount. If the actual rate of pay is less than the sum of the base rate of pay and the supplemented fees owing, then the employee shall receive the difference.
