Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated 3rd or 4th year Apprentice to join our team, supporting electrical and construction projects within commercial settings. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals progressing through their apprenticeship to develop hands-on skills under the guidance of experienced professionals. The ideal candidate will have foundational knowledge in electrical systems, construction, and the use of various tools, with a focus on safety and precision. This paid position provides valuable experience in industrial electrical work, blueprint reading, and schematic interpretation, contributing to your growth as a skilled tradesperson.
Responsibilities
- Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in industrial environments
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform wiring, conduit bending, and equipment assembly
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to support project execution
- Work with low voltage systems and support electrical troubleshooting efforts
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment for all team members
- Support construction activities including site preparation and material handling
- Collaborate with journeymen electricians to learn best practices and improve technical skills
- Maintain clean and organized work areas to promote efficiency and safety
Experience
- Prior experience or training in commercial electrician work or related construction fields is preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, schematics, blueprints, and blueprint reading is highly desirable
- Knowledge of low voltage systems and electrical safety standards is a plus
- Construction experience or background working on industrial projects will be advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to read technical drawings and interpret electrical schematics is beneficial
- Previous exposure to working with power tools and hand tools in a construction or maintenance setting is preferred

Pay: $20.00-$36.00 per hour
