Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Bricklayers Labourer to support our construction team in various masonry and renovation projects. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry, working alongside skilled professionals on diverse projects. The ideal candidate will be reliable, eager to learn, and capable of performing physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist bricklayers and masons with material handling, mixing mortar, and preparing work sites
- Use hand tools such as trowels, hammers, and chisels to support masonry work
- Operate power tools and heavy equipment as needed under supervision
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to assist with project execution
- Support demolition, restoration, and renovation tasks as required
- Perform general site cleanup and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times
- Assist with caulking, sealing, and other finishing tasks to support masonry projects
- Help set up scaffolding or other temporary structures for construction activities
Qualifications
- Prior construction experience or familiarity with masonry work is preferred but not required
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and basic heavy equipment safely
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics is a plus
- Experience with renovation or restoration projects is advantageous
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor for extended periods
- Willingness to learn new skills related to masonry, caulking, and equipment operation
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively within a team environment
- Commitment to safety standards and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour
