An employer is hiring Budtenders for their Oshawa and Pickering locations, and VPI will be hosting an in-person hiring event!
A Budtender works in a cannabis retail environment and supports customers by providing product information, answering questions, processing purchases, checking identification, and ensuring all legal and compliance requirements are followed. This role is ideal for someone with strong customer service or retail experience who is detail-oriented, professional, and comfortable working in a regulated retail setting.
Hiring Event Details
Selected candidates will be invited to attend an in-person interview at the hiring event.
Date: June 12
Time: 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in a professional manner
- Verify customer identification and age requirements
- Provide product information and answer customer questions
- Process sales using a point-of-sale system
- Handle cash, debit, and credit transactions
- Restock shelves and maintain product displays
- Support store cleanliness and organization
- Follow all AGCO and CannSell requirements
Requirements
- Must meet all legal requirements to work in cannabis retail in Ontario
- Valid CannSell certification is required
- Customer service or retail experience is preferred
- Comfortable following strict compliance procedures
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Available for rotating shifts, including weekends
