Job Overview:
As a Prep Cook, you will assist in food preparation and portioning, ensure food safety standards are met, and support the kitchen staff in delivering high-quality meals to our guests. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about the food industry and eager to develop their culinary skills in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
As a Line Cook, you will work as a team to ensure food execution meets our high standards with accuracy, attention to detail, and consistency. You will follow recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines to deliver high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Prep Cook:
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring produce and other components for cooking.
- Assist in cooking and assembling dishes according to restaurant standards.
- Handle and prepare ingredients with precision using proper knife skills.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, utensils, and equipment.
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures to ensure hygiene and safety.
- Support the kitchen team during busy hours by efficiently managing meal prep tasks.
- Ensure consistency in food preparation and presentation.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Assist with plating and presentation of dishes as required.
As a Line Cook:
- Prepare Delicious in house made food. Execute menu items with accuracy, attention to detail, and consistency. Your skills will help deliver high-quality dishes that keep our guests coming back for more.
- Follow Recipes & Standards: Adhere to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines to ensure every plate is perfect and meets our quality standards.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Keep your work station organized, sanitized, and in compliance with food safety regulations. Proper handling and hygiene are essential.
- Work as Part of the Team: Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations. Support your teammates and communicate effectively during busy service times.
- Assist with Prep & Line Set-Up: Help with prep work ahead of service and maintain your station during shifts to ensure everything runs seamlessly.
- Support Kitchen Operations: Be flexible and willing to take on related tasks as needed to support the overall kitchen operation and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, or working as line cook is required.
- Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations within the food industry.
- Strong knife skills and a good understanding of meal preparation techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on serving customers and supporting staff.
- Must have a valid Food Handler's Certificate.
