About Us ProCare Pharmacy is a busy community and long-term care pharmacy in North York with a growing compounding division. We prepare customized non-sterile medications—creams, ointments, capsules, suspensions, and specialty topical formulations—for patients, dermatology offices, and prescribers across the GTA. We're expanding our compounding business and looking for a reliable, detail-oriented person to join the lab.
The Role As a Pharmacy Compounding Assistant, you'll work alongside our pharmacists and technicians to prepare non-sterile compounds accurately and efficiently while maintaining a clean, organized, documentation-ready lab.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing non-sterile compounds (creams, ointments, gels, capsules, oral suspensions, topical solutions) per master formulation records
- Accurately weigh, measure, and mix ingredients under pharmacist/technician supervision
- Label, package, and stage finished compounds for verification
- Maintain compounding logs, batch records, and ingredient/lot documentation
- Clean and maintain equipment, balances, and the compounding area to NAPRA standards
- Monitor raw material and supply inventory; flag reorders and expiries
- Support general workflow in a fast-paced pharmacy as needed

- Comfort with precise measurement, basic math, and following exact procedures
- Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks
- Strong hygiene and housekeeping habits
- Team player who communicates clearly
- Pharmacy assistant or compounding experience is an asset, but no certification is required—we will train the right candidate
