Best Personnel Inc. is currently accepting applications for experienced Traffic Control Persons (TCPs) to join our workforce for upcoming client assignments.
We are an employment agency that provides workers to a variety of construction and work sites across the Lower Mainland. Assignments may vary by location, duration, schedule, client needs, and worker availability. Some opportunities may offer full-time hours depending on the assignment.
What this role involves
- Directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic safely through construction and work zones
- Setting up, maintaining, and removing traffic control devices, signage, and barricades
- Communicating clearly with drivers, pedestrians, site personnel, and fellow traffic control staff
- Monitoring traffic flow and adjusting traffic control measures as required
- Following traffic management plans and site-specific safety procedures
- Reporting hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions to supervisors
- Maintaining a professional and courteous attitude while interacting with the public
- Assisting with general site duties when required
Requirements
- Valid Traffic Control Person (TCP) certification
- Minimum 1 year of traffic control experience
- Fluent in English with strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong understanding of traffic control procedures and work zone safety
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Required gear
- Hard hat
- CSA-approved steel-toed work boots
- Reflective safety vest or high-visibility traffic control apparel
- Traffic control paddle
- Wrist and leg Cuffs
