Westwood Physiotherapy and Wellness is growing! We're looking for a dedicated Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA) to join our collaborative and patient-focused team. Our clinic offers a range of services including Physiotherapy, Chiropractic and Massage Therapy. all designed to support our patients’ health and recovery goals.
About the Role:
As a PTA at Westwood, you'll work closely under the supervision of Registered Physiotherapists to deliver individualized care, support patient progress, and help manage daily clinic operations. Your role will focus on assisting physiotherapists, guiding patients through their programs, and supporting the overall flow of the clinic to ensure every patient has a positive experience.
What We’re Looking For:
- Completion of a recognized Physiotherapy Assistant / Occupational Therapy Assistant diploma program
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a rehabilitation or therapy setting
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
- Confident in guiding patients through exercise programs and treatments
- Comfortable using electrotherapeutic modalities under supervision
- A compassionate and professional approach to patient care
- Friendly and welcoming demeanor for interacting with patients, staff, and visitors
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist physiotherapists during treatment sessions
- Greet and assist patients with professionalism and warmth
- Support physiotherapists with treatment planning and exercise setup
- Perform light cleaning to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Manage administrative duties such as booking appointments and assisting front desk
- Collaborate with the team to ensure an efficient daily workflow
- Must be willing to perform all the administrative duties
Qualifications:
- PTA/OTA diploma from an accredited institution (or equivalent)
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn clinic software quickly
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced clinic environment
- A team player who takes initiative and enjoys working with people
