Department: Clinical Services
The Project Manager reports to the Director of Quality, Risk, Patient Experience and Flow, Privacy Officer and supports the Clinical Services portfolio. The successful individual will be expected to coordinate planning, facilitation, and implementation of programs, major services changes, and upgrade clinical projects as required by the NBRHC Strategic Plan while working collaboratively with the clinical and non-clinical leaders/teams of NBRHC to build commitment to changes and identify barriers and opportunities for successful implementation
Duties Include
- Lead project management, solutions analysis, selection and change management
- Responsible for ownership and development of internal project management processes and procedures
- Lead projects and initiatives, including procurement, scoping, development and management of project plans, charters and timelines
QUALIFICATIONS
Certification/Experience/Knowledge:
- Current bachelor’s degree in a health-related field required, or equivalent combination of education and experience with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a healthcare environment required
- Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) required
- Experience coordinating institutional efforts to achieve accreditation status and meet the standards of Required Organizational Practices
- Experience, knowledge, and active involvement in leading multiple complex projects through planning, implementation, operationalization, monitoring outcomes and activities, consistent with corporate commitments including budget, schedule, quality, and risk management
- Project management experience required
- Knowledge of Acute Care, Complex Continuing Care, and Rehabilitation Care
- Strong leadership, change management, problem-solving, critical thinking, conflict resolution, team-building, and communication skills
- Experience, knowledge, and active involvement in leading and implementing initiatives and projects
Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to prioritize activities, meet deadlines, manage multiple and complex operational matters on a daily basis, resolve problems in a timely manner, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong presentation and analytical skills
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills required
- Leadership skills including change management, problem-solving, critical thinking, conflict resolution, team-building, facilitation, and communication
- Commitment to ensuring personal safety and the safety of fellow workers, patients, volunteers, and visitors
- Ability to support and contribute to a culture of safety and the prevention of adverse health events required
- Good attendance record required
- Bilingualism (Advanced level English/French) is an asset
