Opportunity- Carpenter
Reporting directly to the Site Superintendent and Project Manager, as a carpenter with DORA Construction, you will be building communities that make an impact. A vital part of our construction team, DORA Construction is currently looking for like-minded, experienced carpenters with a focus on safety, who are proud to go to work and make a difference each day.
Position Responsibilities
*Including but not limited to:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Assisting supervisors with structural design, planning, layout, and installation.
- Conduct repair work and installation of doors, windows, drywall, cabinets, stairs, and other fixtures as required.
- Ability to assess the quality of woodwork and materials.
- Ability to operate tools, machines, and other equipment.
- Follow compliance with local building codes, and health and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Build foundations, install floor systems, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.
- Other tasks as assigned by the Site Superintendent.
Position Requirements
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
· High School Diploma.
· Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or a minimum of four years' experience as a journey-level carpenter
· Knowledge of Mathematics
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
