We are placing experienced, Manitoba-licensed RNs on flexible travel contracts across Northern Manitoba (pre-Fall/Winter 2026).
Compensation & Perks:
Competitive Pay:
$60.00/hr (Incorporated)
$55.43/hr (Sole Proprietor)
$50.00/hr (Employee / EoA)
Daily Overtime: Paid on all hours worked over 11.63 hours per day (re-sets daily).
Cumulative Overtime: Full overtime pay on all hours worked over 160 hours within a 4-week period.
Travel Pay: Up to 3 hours one-way for placements exceeding 10 days.
Per Diem Allowance:
$45/day allowance for all days worked.
Additional $50/day per diem if you book your own accommodation.
Travel & Living:
Mileage reimbursement + travel pay, plus private accommodation provided.
$750 Referral Bonus: Paid upon completion of your referred nurse’s first shift.
Role Overview:
You’ll step in as a skilled, autonomous nurse operating at full scope in a fast-paced outpost/ED environment:
- Triaging and assessing patients utilizing the CTAS protocol when needed.
- Stabilizing critically ill patients prior to transport to regional or tertiary care centers.
- Managing deteriorating patients through hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation.
- Assisting with advanced procedures, including intubations and central line insertions.
- Performing IV access, blood draws, EKGs, NG tube insertions, and medication administration.
- Maintaining accurate, real-time EMR documentation.
- Coordinating and accompanying ambulance transfers or medevac when required.
- Collaborating closely with physicians, local teams, and interdisciplinary care networks.
Requirements:
Licensure: Active, unrestricted RN license with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
Experience: Minimum 1 year (2,500 hours) of recent Emergency Department or Primary Care experience.
Certifications: ACLS, TNCC, and CTAS certifications.
Safety: CPR Level C (obtained within the past year) + Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screen (or willingness to obtain).
Assets: PALS and EDIS experience are strong assets, but not required.
Mindset: Comfortable with remote/rural living and working - you genuinely love being off the beaten path.
Core Traits: Adaptability, strong clinical communication, and a team-first attitude.
