Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced (1.5-2 yrs)Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight and equipment across various routes. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism to ensure timely deliveries and maintain excellent customer service. Candidates with skills in heavy equipment operation.
Duties
- Safely operate trucks for local and regional freight deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, paperwork, and documentation for each trip
- Assist with the maintenance and minor repairs of trucks and related equipment to ensure operational readiness
- Coordinate with warehouse staff for loading, unloading, and inventory management
- Perform automotive repairs or troubleshooting if required to keep vehicles in optimal condition
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields
- Knowledge of automotive repair or basic troubleshooting skills is a plus
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling
- Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks regularly
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and vehicle maintenance
