Prepress Operator- Contract

The Position:
Reporting to the Prepress Manager, this role plays a crucial role in the printing process, assisting the PrePress department in various tasks. including but not limited to adjusting images, correcting errors, and preparing files for printing, ensuring a seamless transition to the press.
Duties:
· Prepare and preflight incoming files for print production
· Review and troubleshoot files to ensure they meet print standards and specifications
· Create and modify digital artwork and layouts
· Prepare files for customer approval
· Operate and maintain prepress equipment, including computer-to-plate systems and digital proofing devices
· Manage and maintain digital file archives
· Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
· All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· 2 years or more of experience in prepress
· Experience in Adobe Suite
· Kodak Prinergy experience preferred but not required
· Physically able to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.
· Can work independently with minimal supervision
· A willing to learn, roll up your sleeves and get involved personality
· Fluent in speaking and reading English
· Possess basic math skills
· Possess basic mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn
· Attention to detail
· Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task
· Experience with folding cartons, boxboard and corrugate will be extremely beneficial
