Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced DZ Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating flatbed tow trucks efficiently and in a timely manner. This role requires a strong focus on safety, customer service, and vehicle maintenance.
Duties
- Safely operate trucks to transport goods to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Load, tie down and unload vehicles and freight.
- Must create Invoices and accept payments from customers.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding any issues encountered
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep the vehicle in optimal condition
- Assist with warehouse operations including inventory management and material handling when required
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Must have a MTO Tow License, but we can get one for the right candidate
- Mechanical knowledge of trucks and automotive repair skills to handle minor repairs or troubleshooting
- Experience with forklift and skid steer operation is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong customer service skills to represent the company professionally during calls.
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a focus on safety and efficiency
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, loading, and unloading cargo safely
- Excellent communication skills for coordination with dispatchers and customers
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
