Job Description
Didsbury is a town of approximately 5,185 located 80 kilometres north of Calgary, approximately half-way between Calgary and Red Deer and an hour’s drive to the Rockies. Didsbury offers small community living with big city amenities just a short drive away.

About the Opportunity
As our Director of Public Works & Infrastructure, you will report to the Chief Administrative Officer and lead the operational services and infrastructure systems ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance.
The Director will play a central role in planning and executing capital projects, managing departmental budgets, and supporting long-term infrastructure planning initiatives. We are looking for a collaborative leader who brings a high level of public relations expertise and a strong background in project management.
WHAT THE TOWN OF DIDSBURY IS LOOKING FOR IN A CANDIDATE:
Required
- 5+ years working experience in a municipal construction and/or engineering environment, this includes tracking project expenses and maintaining accurate budget information
- 4+ years’ experience in a management and/or leadership role
- Certification in Project Management and/or Facility Management
Desired
- Civil Engineering Technology Diploma
- Certification in Wastewater Treatment Level 1
- Certification in Wastewater Collection Level 2
- Certification in Water Distribution Level 2
Hours: 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday. Evening, weekend and holidays work will apply.
Salary Range: $111,000 - $132,635
