This position reports to the Manager, Consumer Products. The successful Lead, Tire Technician is an important part of our team who is responsible for providing outstanding customer service, strong leadership and excellent quality of work!
Job Summary:
- Ensures all staff and self is working safely, wears PPE and maintains proper housekeeping by regular cleaning/maintenance within the shop
- Maintains the traffic flow of customers vehicles in and out of the service bay ensuring all repairs are completed and returned to the counter in a timely manner
- Train new technicians in established procedures and use of equipment.
- Communicate and work with Sales staff to resolve any challenges.
- Continually works to maintain efficient use of facilities and processes to maximize productivity and reduce wait times for customers while ensuring all work is completed
- Mounts, balances, and installs wheels and tires on vehicles
- Safely operates all tools and equipment required for tire installations and balancing
- Inspects all workstations and equipment for safe operation and reports any deficiencies to the appropriate supervisor/manager
Qualifications:
- Strong proven Leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attendance and punctuality record
- Understanding and comprehension of retail tire and wheel applications and installation
- Ability to work with the physical demands and maintain a positive attitude
- Ability to be on your feet for long durations of time
- Maintain general physical health
