Responsibilities
- Perform body piercings with meticulous attention to safety, hygiene, and client comfort, adhering to all sanitation standards and regulations.
- Consult with clients to understand their desired look, provide expert advice on jewelry options, placement, and aftercare instructions.
- Maintain a clean and sterile workspace by following strict sanitation protocols before, during, and after procedures.
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently to ensure smooth daily operations and minimal wait times for clients.
- Educate clients on proper aftercare procedures to promote healing and prevent infections or complications.
- Stay current with industry trends, new piercing techniques, jewelry styles, and safety standards through ongoing training and professional development.
- Collaborate with store management on inventory control, including ordering high-quality jewelry and supplies necessary for piercing procedures.
Skills
- Proven experience in body piercing with a strong portfolio demonstrating technical proficiency and artistic talent.
- Knowledge of sanitation practices specific to piercing studios to ensure client safety at all times.
- Excellent communication skills to clearly explain procedures, aftercare instructions, and answer client questions confidently.
- Ability to perform first aid in case of minor injuries or complications during or after procedures.
- Strong customer service skills to create a welcoming environment that encourages repeat visits and positive reviews.
- Basic understanding of color theory for jewelry selection that complements individual styles and skin tones.
- Experience in store management or retail sales is a plus for assisting with jewelry sales or promotional activities.
