Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience operating commercial vehicles and handling freight, with a focus on safety and professionalism.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery trucks and commercial vehicles to transport goods to designated locations
- Load and unload freight using equipment such as forklifts when necessary
- Ensure accurate delivery of products, verifying orders against delivery manifests
- Maintain proper documentation of deliveries and pickups
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations during transportation
- Assist with warehouse duties including freight handling and inventory management when required
- Operate heavy equipment, such as forklifts, to facilitate loading and unloading processes
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting if needed to ensure vehicle functionality
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, freight handling, or delivery services
- Familiarity with forklift operation and heavy equipment is preferred
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics is a plus
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
- Experience in operating heavy equipment or forklifts is advantageous
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate deliveries and documentation
