Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our supply chain team. This role involves managing the end-to-end logistics processes, coordinating transportation, and optimizing warehouse operations to ensure seamless order fulfillment and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with warehouse distribution, procurement, and transportation management systems, along with excellent data analysis skills. Responsibilities
- Oversee warehouse distribution activities, including shipping & receiving, order picking, and materials management.
- Oversee all daily inbound and outbound shipments.
- Ensure smooth cross-border logistics, particularly between Canada and the United States.
- Coordinate transportation management systems (TMS) and Warehouse Management System (WMS) to optimize freight movement and delivery schedules
- Manage procurement processes, sourcing, and pricing strategies to ensure cost-effective purchasing
- Manage shipment labeling processes for domestic and cross-border shipments.
- Provide accurate shipping labels and documentation in a timely manner.
- Monitor and analyze data related to shipping, freight costs, and inventory levels to identify opportunities for process improvement
- Collaborate with LTL (Less than Truckload) providers to coordinate freight logistics and ensure the timely delivery of goods between Canada and the USA.
- Ensure compliance with cross-border shipping regulations and internal policies.
- Maintain accurate records of shipping & receiving activities, packaging specifications, and warehouse inventory.
- Assist in developing sourcing strategies to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce costs
- Ensure adherence to company shipping policies (e.g., ground shipping for free delivery).
- Maintain balance between speed, cost, and service quality.
Internal Communication
- Actively update internal communication channels with:
- Tracking details
- Shipment confirmations
- Delivery updates
Reporting & Monitoring -Prepare and submit:
- Daily activity summaries
- Bi-weekly stock reports from Miami vendors
- Track and report key logistics metrics and issues.
Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, supply chain management, or logistics coordination
- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), Warehouse Management System (WMS), ERP systems, or equivalent
- Experience with procurement, sourcing, pricing strategies, and demand planning
- Hands-on experience with shipping & receiving procedures, freight coordination, and 3PL partnerships
- Strong data analysis skills for process improvement initiatives
- Prior exposure to e-commerce logistics and order fulfillment processes is advantageous
