The role of Industrial Janitor - Afternoon shift is to maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization within our office and manufacturing facility. Ensure that all workspaces, restrooms, lunchrooms, and workstations are kept clean and organized in an afternoon shift (12:00 PM to 8:30 PM).
- General cleaning and common area:
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in shopfloor, offices, lunchrooms, and common spaces.
- Wipe down and sanitize surfaces, workstations, shelves and high-touch areas.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper)
- Maintain lunchrooms, kitchens and other shared spaces by cleaning countertops and appliances
- Waste Management:
- Empty trash bins, replace liners and clean waste disposal areas
- Sort and collection of waste bins and ensure timely removal in compliance with waste management policy.
- Stock and Supplies
- Monitor cleaning supplies and notify the Manager when stock needs replenishing.
- Maintain an organized inventory of cleaning tools and materials
- Follow all health and safety regulations
- Wear required PPE while performing cleaning tasks
- Handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.
- Report safety hazards and or maintenance needs for restrooms, lunchrooms and common areas
- Assist with deep cleaning task, such as power washing floors, cleaning of production areas and equipment during shutdowns or scheduled maintenance.
- Support the company’s 6S activities:
- Floor tape marking
- Waste Bin maintenance
- Starting pay: CAD $23.50/hour (+ 6% shift premium in addition to the base hourly rate)

- Previous experience in janitorial & housekeeping in manufacturing environment is a plus
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Able to lift/push/pull/carry up to 35 lbs. repeatedly and stand for the duration of your shift
- Reliability and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks in timely manner
- Proactive attitude towards cleanliness and safety
- Fluent in English
- Strong attention to detail
