The job:
Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and executing marketing, press, and communications strategies across Business on Camera’s portfolio of companies. You will develop strategies and specific messages, manage the delivery of the communications plan, execute across all appropriate channels and evaluate the success.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Work with Business on Camera’s portfolio of companies and Clients to develop, manage, and execute comprehensive marketing, PR, and communications strategies, messages, and channels to support effective, timely and accurate communication to internal and external stakeholders and the general public
- Identify all key stakeholders, internal and external, and appropriate messaging strategies for each
- Build and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and Press contacts
- Measure marketing, PR and communications program effectiveness and develop specific strategies and initiatives to improve outcomes
- Engage in strategic activities to build and maintain a positive visual identity for Business on Camera, WeMaple, and our portfolio of clients and partners
- Function as a trusted advisor to key partners on communication subjects
- Assist other departments with communication needs and communication planning
- Update and track channel performance data
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field - or 5+ years of related experience
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment; proven time-management skills
- Must be self-directed and demonstrate the ability to communicate with a wide range of audiences
- Experience with developing/planning marketing & communications strategies, including public relations, social media and associated engagement strategies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (samples requested)
- Hands-on experience with Public Relations Software, Press Release distribution, Google Ads, Facebook Business Manager and LinkedIn Ads Manager a plus.
- Ability to measure the success of campaigns with specialized analytical skills related to the job
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Proficient in Adobe Suite and WordPress a plus
- A creative eye for providing directions for graphic elements that effectively promote key messages and information as well as copywriting experience a plus
- Experienced in using Google Analytics and other analytical tools to develop and enhance social messaging a plus
Must-Have:
- Must speak and write English Fluently.
- Must reside in Alberta and will be filing taxes as an Alberta resident in 2023.
