Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and skilled Class 1 Drivers for steady work in Hinton, AB. The ideal candidates will have a strong commitment to safety and efficiency in our available areas of hauling. We have positions available for tank truck fluid hauling.
This position requires a valid Class 1 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract. A minimum of 3 years OFF ROAD experience.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 vehicles to transport freight to various destinations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and delivery schedules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
- Assist with basic vehicle maintenance and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid Class 1 driver's license is required.
- Familiarity with freight transportation processes and regulations is essential.
- Background in automotive repair will be considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols in transportation is necessary.
