We are seeking a friendly and motivated Hair Salon Assistant to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Greet clients warmly and ensure they feel welcomed upon arrival
- Assist stylists with preparing clients for services, including shampooing and setting up styling tools
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, tools, and common areas according to health standards
- Support stylists during hair treatments by passing tools and assisting with product application as needed
- Upsell retail products by recommending suitable hair care items to clients
- Manage front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, checking in clients, and handling payments
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and ensuring a positive salon experience
- Restock supplies regularly to ensure the salon remains well-equipped for daily operations
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Basic knowledge of hair styling techniques is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in a salon environment
- Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members clearly and professionally
- Experience in retail sales or upselling is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Front desk experience or familiarity with appointment scheduling systems is advantageous
- Ability to work well in a team setting and handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Flexibility to work during salon hours, including weekends if needed
