Job Overview
Express Employment Professionals is recruiting on behalf of our client for an Accounts Receivable & Billing Specialist to join their accounting team. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity with a well-established company in the construction industry.
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will play a key role in managing the accounts receivable process, customer billing, collections, and account reconciliations while ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle Accounts Receivable using an ERP system.
- Process cash applications and perform account reconciliations.
- Conduct collection calls and follow up on outstanding accounts.
- Complete credit reference checks and set up new customer accounts.
- Review, approve, and distribute invoices and customer statements.
- Assist with customer billing and invoicing.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and customer concerns.
- Prepare weekly and monthly Accounts Receivable reports.
- Administer Moneris, DNB, and Equifax accounts.
- Ensure company credit policies and procedures are followed.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and internal teams.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Accounts Receivable, credit, and collections experience.
- Experience with full-cycle Accounts Receivable processes.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Sound knowledge of credit and collection procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and confident when resolving customer issues.
- Proven ability to build strong business relationships.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience with Great Plains ERP is considered an asset.
- Previous construction industry experience is strongly preferred.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday - 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Compensation & Benefits
- $52,000-$70,000 per year, based on experience.
