ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a reliable, experienced floral team member to join our floral department on a part-time basis. This is a hands-on production role — you'll be bunching, wrapping, cutting, and pricing fresh flowers for retail display. We move high volumes of fresh flowers daily, so consistency, presentation, and efficiency are what matter most in this role. If you know your way around fresh flowers and take pride in a well-presented product, we'd love to hear from you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Bunch, wrap, cut, and price roses and other fresh flowers for retail display
Receive flower deliveries, inspect for quality, and rotate stock
Keep the floral cooler and display area clean, stocked, and organized
Assist with ordering — tracking inventory levels and flagging what needs to be reordered
Trim and re-cut stems as needed to maintain freshness
Dispose of unsellable product and maintain a tidy workspace
Move and lift heavy water buckets and flower boxes throughout the shift
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Previous experience working with fresh flowers — floral wholesale, flower shop, greenhouse, garden centre, or grocery floral department
Comfortable with repetitive, hands-on physical work (standing, bending, lifting buckets)
Fast and consistent — able to process volume efficiently without sacrificing presentation
Reliable and punctual
Able to work comfortably in a cool, damp environment
Basic inventory awareness to support ordering
Self-directed and able to work independently with minimal supervision
SCHEDULE
Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday · approximately 20-30 hours per week. Hours increase around holidays— flexibility during peak weeks is appreciated.
COMPENSATION
$18.50 per hour, commensurate with experience.
