Arbec Forest Products Inc. - Miramichi Division manufactures oriented strand board (OSB) for clients located throughout North America. Arbec Forest Products Inc. is looking for Labours to work on an on-call basis at the Miramichi plant.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain safe, clean and effective working conditions
- Work together with fellow employees
- Responsible for cleaning and maintaining areas outlined by Arbec Forest Products
- Assist trades persons and production persons as required
- Empty garbage from mill into dumpsters
- Replace the Assistants for breaks as required
- Train in positions as indicated by your supervisor
- Assist in training as required
- Assist in knife changes
- Assist with building maintenance (walkways in the winter, grass, etc.)
- Clean blending area as assigned by your supervisor
- Operate mobile equipment (forklift, skid steer, man lift, etc.)
- Operate chainsaw
- Monitor & maintain pre-set quality standards
- Monitor and record all required data
- Assist and carry out any duties assigned by your supervisor
Skill Requirements:
- Have experience working in an industrial environment
- Become competent in all tasks relating to the position in the time stipulated by Arbec Forest Products
- Grade 12 or equivalent
Work Conditions:
- Lifting items weighing approximately 40 lbs occasionally
- Climbing ladders and working at heights
- Working in confined spaces
- Work in an industrial setting
- Interaction with employees and management
- Flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
This is for an on call only basis!! No guaranteed hours.
Pay: $27.08-$32.36 per hour
