Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and applying primer using hand tools and power tools.
- Assist with the application of paint, stains, or coatings on various surfaces following project specifications and schematics.
- Support the rigging and setup of scaffolding or ladders to access high or hard-to-reach areas safely.
- Perform restoration work by repairing damaged surfaces or structures prior to painting.
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools and disposing of waste materials in accordance with safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project timelines are met and quality standards are upheld.
Experience
- Prior construction experience, particularly in painting or restoration projects, is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with construction painting techniques for residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, caulking guns, and scaffolding equipment safely.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to rigging, carpentry, and working at heights.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
