We're on the hunt for a fantastic Personal Care Assistant to join our team and make a real difference in the life of a wonderful woman who is an ASIA D quadriplegic.
What You'll Be Doing (with a Dash of Deliciousness!):
As our Personal Care Assistant, you'll be her go-to person for essential daily support, always with a smile! Your day might involve:
* Helping with transfers, personal hygiene (think showering, grooming, flossing and getting ready for the day!).
*In and out catheterization.
* Whipping up tasty meals that nourish both body and soul! If you love to cook and know your way around a kitchen, this is a huge plus!
* Assisting with mobility, including some heavy lifting when needed.
* Guiding her through daily exercises to keep her strong and limber.
* Handling suppository prep anddiaper changes with care and discretion.
* Guiding her through range of motion (ROM) exercises.
* Keeping her space sparkling with full housekeeping duties.
* Providing medication reminders and a bit of basic health monitoring.
What We're Looking For:
We're hoping to find someone who's not only skilled but also genuinely kind and enthusiastic. You're probably a great fit if you have:
* Prior experience in personal care, whether it's from private care, assisted living, nursing, or similar roles.
* Familiarity with top-notch patient care techniques and best practices.
* Serious skills in the kitchen! Knowing how to cater to different dietary needs is a big bonus.
* Experience working with individuals with disabilities (if you do, that's awesome!).
* A compassionate heart, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while also being a team player.
* And speaking of making things happen, you'll need to be legally eligible to work in Canada!

You'll work two to four shifts a week, Shifts range from 1.5-4.5 hours per shift, with a relaxed half-hour unpaid break built into the longer shift – perfect for recharging! Plus, you'll be on our regular payroll, which means all the perks like tax deductions, paid holidays, and vacation time – because everyone deserves a break.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
