Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Flat Roofing Service Technician to join our Service Division. If you're a motivated roofing professional who takes pride in quality workmanship, customer service, and problem-solving, we'd like to hear from you.
This position is ideal for a Journeyman Roofer or Red Seal Roofer who enjoys a variety of work, from leak investigations and repairs to inspections, warranty service, and supporting estimating and project planning.
Responsibilities
- Perform commercial flat roofing repairs and maintenance.
- Diagnose roof leaks and identify appropriate repair solutions.
- Complete warranty repairs and service work.
- Conduct roof inspections and prepare detailed reports with photos.
- Assist with roofing takeoffs and material quantities for repair projects.
- Support the Service Department with customer service and project coordination.
- Perform preventative maintenance and emergency service calls.
- Complete service documentation accurately and on time.
- Communicate professionally with customers, suppliers, and team members.
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
- Follow all company safety policies and OH&S requirements.
Qualifications
- Journeyman Roofer Certificate or Red Seal Roofer Certification (preferred).
- Minimum 3–5 years of commercial flat roofing experience.
- Experience with EPDM, SBS, TPO, and modified bitumen roofing systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and leak investigation skills.
- Ability to read drawings and prepare material takeoffs is an asset.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
- Physically capable of lifting materials and working at heights.
