AZ Highway Driver – Cross Border LTL/FTLJob Overview
We are currently hiring experienced and reliable AZ Highway Drivers for our growing LTL/FTL transportation operations based in the Toronto–Barrie area. This position involves highway and cross-border freight transportation with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and on-time delivery.
The ideal candidate will have a professional attitude, strong work ethic, and experience operating commercial vehicles in long-haul and freight transportation environments.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate AZ commercial trucks on assigned highway and cross-border routes
- Transport LTL and FTL freight while ensuring timely pickups and deliveries
- Drive manual transmission trucks confidently and safely
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensure cargo is properly secured and handled according to safety standards
- Maintain accurate logs, trip reports, and delivery documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations teams
- Follow all DOT, MTO, and company safety regulations and procedures
- Report vehicle maintenance or safety concerns promptly
Requirements
- Valid AZ Driver’s License
- Clean driver’s abstract and CVOR
- Minimum 1 year of verified AZ driving experience
- Minimum 1 year of MELT-certified driving experience
- Must be eligible to cross the Canada–US border
- Ability to drive manual transmission trucks
- Previous experience in LTL/FTL transportation preferred
- Strong knowledge of highway safety regulations and cargo securement
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including overnight trips if required
- Professional communication and time-management skills
