About the Role
As a Steel Cutting and Bending Operator, you will work with cutting-edge equipment to support our steel processing department. You will be responsible for programming, operating, and maintaining machinery while ensuring high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities
Program and operate equipment including laser, waterjet, plasma cutting tables, and press brakes.
Use and manage nesting software like SigmaNEST or ProNest (familiarity is an asset).
Prepare, load, and unload materials for cutting operations.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery.
Inspect finished parts for quality and make necessary corrections.
Prepare orders for shipping.
Utilize computer skills to fine-tune cutting programs.
Communicate production updates and requirements to supervisors.
What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate will:
Be mechanically inclined and comfortable working with computers.
Adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
Be physically fit, with the ability to perform whole-body movements and lift materials as needed.
Have experience in steel cutting and bending (preferred, but we’re willing to train the right person).
