Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our restaurant team. The ideal candidate will ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, cookware, and kitchen utensils, supporting the overall efficiency of food service operations. This role is essential in maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for both staff and guests, contributing to a positive dining experience.
Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment using appropriate cleaning methods.
- Ensure all food service items are properly cleaned, dried, and stored in designated areas.
- Assist with basic meal preparation and food handling tasks as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and surrounding areas to meet health and safety standards.
- Support kitchen staff with food prep activities when required, including basic food handling and meal assembly.
- Follow all food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Manage dishwashing schedules during peak hours to ensure timely availability of clean utensils and cookware.
- Portion food by the chef's specified count or weight.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations, including meal preparation and food service practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic with reliability and punctuality.
