Postdoctoral research fellowship in the area of Photothermal Coherence Tomography (PCT) and clinical device R&D is available in the Hybrid Biomedical Optics Lab (York University, Canada). The fellowship focuses on fundamental research toward advancement of existing PCT technology, design and development of clinical instrumentation for PCT imaging of dental hard tissues, and conducting multi-center experimentation for performance comparison of PCT with gold standards and scattering-based imaging methodologies such optical coherence tomography. The fellowship can be extended up to 2 years.
Job Requirements: A PhD (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related field is required. In addition to excellent communication and teamwork skills, demonstrated excellence in one or more of the following areas is required: photothermal sciences and radiometry, thermography, optical imaging systems, optical system fabrication, fiber optic systems and components, image processing and programming in LabView and/or Visual C++.
Interested candidates are urged to send an email to Prof. Tabatabaei ([email protected]). Please include your CV (listing minimum of 2 references).
