Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, taking orders accurately, and ensuring a memorable dining experience. This role requires a strong understanding of food and beverage service, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, along with familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS. The Server will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and guest satisfaction.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm to create a welcoming atmosphere
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining proper presentation and quality standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen duties as needed to support team operations
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Provide attentive guest services, addressing any special requests or concerns promptly
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas, including tables, stations, and dining spaces
Qualifications
- Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred; familiarity with the food industry is a plus
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and billing accurately
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Experience in serving, upselling, cashiering, and hospitality is highly desirable
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
