Starting rate is 30.11 (+ 4% vacation pay), increasing to 31.57 (+6% in lieu of benefits) after 450 hours.

Position Summary: To provide professional nursing care to Retirement Home residents according to each resident’s individualized plan of care. RPNs are responsible to coordinate and supervise other care staff to ensure quality nursing care for all residents.
Assets and Qualifications:
- In good standing with the CNO
- Must be comfortable with electronic charting and communication
- Experience working with seniors with complex, age-related diseases and/or mental health concerns an asset
- Team-work attitude and approach to work
- Self-motivated with excellent time management skills
- Current Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector component required
- Current TB skin test and COVID vaccine receipt required
Responsibilities:
- Assumes charge of the Retirement Home and assists in the planning, provision and supervision of nursing care, exercising judgment to meet resident needs.
- Assumes responsibility for administration of medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborates with physician to assess resident health status, obtain and process orders
- Orders, controls and distributes resident medication
- Plans, creates and implements all resident care plans as per RHRA requirements.
- Attends and participates in staff training and in-services.
- Provides direction and supervision of care of Personal Support Workers.
- Responsible for own professional development and maintenance of own clinical competence
- Other duties as assigned
Shift Information:
Casual/Part time 7-3pm and 2-10pm shifts
Pay: From $30.11 per hour
