Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Millwright to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery and equipment critical to our operations. This role requires strong mechanical, electrical, and industrial maintenance expertise, with the ability to interpret schematics and work with various systems including PLCs and low-voltage electrical components. The Millwright will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and reliability of our manufacturing processes.
Duties
- Install, align, and assemble machinery and equipment according to specifications and schematics
- Perform preventive maintenance on industrial machinery to minimize downtime
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues using analysis skills and diagnostic tools
- Repair or replace defective parts such as gears, bearings, belts, motors, and electrical components
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams
- Operate tools such as welding equipment, HVAC systems, and boiler controls as needed
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff and production teams to optimize equipment performance
- Ensure compliance with safety standards related to industrial electrician work, low voltage systems, and mechanical procedures
- Assist in training new team members on maintenance procedures and safety protocols
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Millwright or in industrial maintenance within manufacturing environments
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in welding, HVAC systems, boilers, and electrical systems
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, CMMS software, and low-voltage electrical systems
- Electrical experience with an understanding of industrial electrician practices is highly desirable
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately
- Excellent analysis skills for troubleshooting complex machinery issues
- Good communication skills in English for effective teamwork and documentation
- Customer service mindset to support internal clients within the organization
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant certifications or training in industrial electrician work or mechanical maintenance are preferred
