We have a great spot for someone that can bring their education and expertise into our production kitchen to make large batches of cookies, muffin mix, cakes, syrups and sauces. Our menu is focused on seasonal, local, healthy and tasty. And it’s all got to look great for the ‘gram.
This is an opportunity for a creative self-driven individual to express themselves within our team both through baking as well as food prep of our breakfast and lunch-focused menu items.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in a bakery AND food preparation role
- Passion for seasonal, ingredient-driven food
- Has strong principles in regard to proper cooking techniques, and an eye for detail
- Keen understanding of nutrition, and healthy living
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Creative and self-motivated
- Responsible for working independently with specific instructions.
- 8 hour shifts
Baker/Prep Cook Candidates MUST possess ALL of these attributes:
- Create and produce recipes.
- Opening display of all baked goods before the cafe opens.
- Ensuring care is taken for all ingredients and displaying proper technique and safe handling.
- Responsible for creating and following standardized recipes and portioning for completed dishes.
- Food costing, food ordering, inventory, cleaning, organizing, and maintenance.
- Ensures correct use, storage, and cleaning of all kitchen equipment and facility.
- Responsible for working in a clean, and organized manner.
- Complies with local food safety regulations.
· Competitive wages and tips, with starting wage dependent on the level of skills and experience.
