We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef / Line Cook specializing in Mexican cuisine to join our vibrant restaurant team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of traditional Mexican dishes with attention to authenticity and quality
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients for menu items
- Ensure all food is prepared according to established recipes, presentation standards, and safety guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and utensils
- Serve food efficiently and courteously to guests, ensuring a positive dining experience
- Monitor food handling procedures to comply with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service hours
- Assist in inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of supply needs
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a line cook within a restaurant setting, preferably with Mexican cuisine expertise
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
- Excellent serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Experience in meal preparation and kitchen operations within the food industry or restaurant environment
- Knowledge of traditional Mexican ingredients, techniques, and presentation styles is highly desirable
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
- Prior experience with food service or restaurant operations is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
