Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Manager with a strong background in the installation, service, and inspection of fire alarm, security, and sprinkler systems (a plus). The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the service operations, ensuring the highest standards of safety and customer satisfaction.
The Service Manager is responsible for overseeing service operations for fire alarm, security, and life safety systems. This role ensures all service activities are performed in compliance with applicable codes and standards, manages service personnel, supports customer needs, and drives continuous improvement. Experience with sprinkler systems is considered an asset.
Responsibilities
Service Operations, Compliance & Technical Oversight

Oversee testing, inspection, verification, servicing, and repair of fire alarm and life safety systems.

Ensure all service workcomplies withlocal and national fire, life safety, and security codes.

Review work orders, building plans, specifications, and installation manuals.

Conduct site inspections to verify workmanship, system performance, and compliance.

Providetechnical guidance for troubleshooting, repairs, and system modifications.
Team Leadership & Scheduling

Lead, supervise, train, and evaluate service technicians.

Assign workloads, schedule service calls, andmonitorproductivity.

Identifytraining needs and support certification and skills development.

Enforce company safety policies and procedures.
Customer & Stakeholder Support

Serve as an escalation point for customer service and technical issues.

Ensure customer concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.

Support system demonstrations and customer training asrequired.
Documentation, Reporting & Process Improvement

Maintainaccurateservice records, including inspections, deficiencies, repairs, and follow-up actions.

Prepare service and compliance reports asrequired.

Support internal audits and regulatory inspections.

Identifyinefficiencies and recommend improvements to service processes and performance.
Required Qualifications

CFAA License (required).

Demonstrated experience with fire alarm and life safety systems.

Prior experience with monitoring systems, emergency lighting systems, and security systems.

Prior supervisory or management experience in a technical environment.

Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Customer-focused mindset with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with sprinkler systems.

Additionalfire and life safety certifications.
