Roles and Responsibilities:
The Yard Manager oversees daily yard operations for All Source Rentals, ensuring efficient coordination of equipment, materials, and logistics to support projects from start to finish. This role works closely with ownership and field teams to maintain high standards of safety, organization, and service.
Responsibilities include managing the intake, tracking, documentation, cost control, maintenance, and dispatch of rental equipment, ensuring inventory accuracy and readiness. The Yard Manager coordinates deliveries and returns, performs inspections, and ensures all assets meet quality and safety standards.
The Yard Manager also drives cost control and operational efficiency by monitoring equipment usage, minimizing downtime, and coordinating procurement. Maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant yard, while enforcing safety protocols, is a core requirement.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Oversee daily yard operations to ensure efficient flow of equipment and materials
- Manage rental inventory, including tracking, receiving, staging, and dispatching
- Coordinate equipment rentals, deliveries, and pickups to support project schedules
- Inspect all incoming and outgoing equipment for condition, accuracy, and safety compliance
- Maintain real-time inventory and job allocations using Sirius Software
- Schedule equipment availability and prioritize allocations based on project needs
- Coordinate routine maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime and extend asset life
- Ensure accurate documentation of equipment usage, service records, and job costing support
- Support field crews by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of required tools and materials
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard that reflects company standards
- Enforce all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Assist with procurement, vendor coordination, and supplier relationships
- Monitor equipment utilization to improve efficiency and control costs
- Communicate closely with ownership and operations to align yard activities with project demands
- Help ensure company standards, safety policies, and quality expectations are maintained; proactively identify and escalate risks, budget concerns to the owner.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal team members in alignment with All Source Rentals core values and commitment to professionalism.
Education, Skills, and Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-5 years’ experience as a Yard manager
- Proficient level software and technical skills,
- Sirius Software experience (Considered an asset)
- Strong sense of responsibility, discipline, and company loyalty.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects flexibly and efficiently,
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and time management skills
- Forklift certification
- Telehandler operator certification
- Class 5 license
- Class 1 License or Class 3 License with a Trailer Endorsement (Considered an asset)

Job Details (The Important Stuff):
- Permanent, Full Time.
- Salary will be based on experience
- Regular Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Additional hours may be required to meet operational needs
- Located in Victoria, British Columbia.
- Start date 2-4 weeks
Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
