Johnny Greeko’s is hiring energetic and reliable Prep Cooks to join our team! As a Prep Cook, you’ll play a key role in our kitchen operations by preparing all meats and salads for the day, carefully cutting and dicing fresh vegetables, and maintaining a clean and organized prep area. We’re looking for someone who loves working with fresh ingredients, takes pride in efficiency and consistency, and helps keep our kitchen ready for a busy service.
Key Responsibilities:

Understand completely and follows all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs.

Completes all food preparations as required for daily requirements. (Preparing raw ingredients.)

May also help prepare (cook) and ensure consistent, high-quality products are served to guests, as described in the Johnny Greeko’s policies and procedures and job helpers. Will use ovens, vertical broiler, grill, flat top, steam table, pita table and other equipment. Work environment can be very warm.

Maintains a collaborative relationship with fellow employees, management and guests.

Achieve company objectives in food quality, food costs, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.

Assists with dish washing and restaurant cleaning.

Performs any other duties assigned by management.
Job Requirements:

Experience cutting, chopping, and dicing vegetables with strong knife skills.

Ability to assess and prioritize restaurant prep needs.

Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Must be able to read and follow recipes and communicate needs and concerns.

Be friendly, responsible and a caring team player.

Be dependable, hard working and able to work quickly to meet goals.

Food Handler certification will be an asset, or must obtain after hire
Working Environment and Physical Demands:
Working conditions are normal for a restaurant environment. Work will involve lifting and moving of materials and product up to 75 pounds and standing for long periods of time. Working in this environment requires the use of machinery and equipment including but not limited to; different types of knives, salad spinner, can opener, scales, microwave, ovens, industrial mixer, vertical broiler, grill, flat top, fryer, steam table, pita table, walk-in cooler, freezer, sham, cleaning supplies, climb a ladder etc.
