Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Cashier to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately processing transactions, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring a positive experience for all guests. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred, along with strong communication skills and a focus on food safety and sanitation.
Duties
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, to process customer orders efficiently and accurately
- Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision and integrity
- Assist customers with food ordering, upselling menu items, and answering inquiries about menu options
- Prepare simple food items as needed, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Maintain cleanliness of the cashier station and surrounding areas in compliance with health regulations
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed during transactions involving food sales
- Support the team with basic kitchen tasks when necessary, including food preparation and serving
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimize wait times and enhance customer satisfaction
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant cashiering, with knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and giving correct change
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail during high-volume periods
- Experience in upselling menu items to increase sales opportunities
- Excellent time management skills to ensure smooth operations during shifts
- Kitchen experience or food preparation skills are a plus for supporting team needs beyond cashier duties
Pay: $32.80-$34.64 per hour
