About You:
You are a strategic and hands-on Head of Engineering with a passion for building from the ground up. You combine strong technical expertise with leadership skills to scale teams, design robust systems, and deliver high-impact solutions. You thrive in fast-paced start-up environments and are driven by innovation, collaboration, and execution excellence.
Key Responsibilities

Architect, design, and implement scalable systems and frameworks using JavaScript, TypeScript, and React Native, with DevOps experience on GCP.

Provide technical leadership and direction across the full stack, from infrastructure to front-end.

Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and development frameworks suitable for a high-growth start-up.

Translate business goals into technical roadmaps and sprint deliverables.

Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team as the company scales.

Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and operations to deliver features quickly and effectively.

Lead decisions on system architecture, infrastructure, deployment, and security.

Own end-to-end delivery — from concept to deployment — ensuring reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).

8+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including leadership or team lead roles.

Proven coding experience in Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, React Native, and comfort working across the stack.

Proficient in
Python with hands-on experience using frameworks such as Next.js, Nest.js, and Flask. -
Skilled in working with PostgreSQL databases and maintaining version control through GitHub.

Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred).

Prior start-up experience, with the ability to take a product or platform from idea to launch in a few sprints.

Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, and scalable system design.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a builder’s mindset and bias for action.
