Overview
We are looking for an experienced senior baker for our wholesale bakery.
This job is mainly about making large volume breads and dough products every day. It is not a cake, pastry, or soft bakery position. We need someone who is comfortable with heavy production, early mornings, mixing, shaping, proofing, baking, and keeping quality consistent.
Duties
- Prepare bread and dough products in large batches
- Mix dough according to recipes and production needs
- Scale, divide, shape, proof, and bake breads
- Follow daily wholesale orders and production schedule
- Check dough quality, proofing, baking time, and final product
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe
- Help guide junior bakers and production staff
- Reduce waste and keep product quality consistent
- Follow food safety and bakery standards
Requirements
- Strong experience in bread production
- Experience working in a busy bakery or wholesale bakery
- Able to handle large batches and fast production work
- Good knowledge of dough mixing, fermentation, proofing, and baking
- Able to lift heavy bags, trays, and bakery products
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable with early shifts
- Able to work well with a team
- Red Seal or formal bakery training is an asset, but not required
- Must care about quality, speed, and consistency
Pay: $22.00-$35.00 per hour
