Welcome to your new favourite job! Its an opportunity to join a one of a kind team with Thomas Hinds Sampling Room! Be one of the few to work in this unique lounge that is ideally located two blocks from the Canada Life Centre, one block from True North Square, as well as close to many other nearby venues and amenities.
This venue has live entertainment, and hosts an interesting range of themed events (think corporate functions, birthday and bachelor parties). Diverse crowds are attracted to test, try and enjoy our many specialty products in an upbeat setting. We are looking for another team member to fill out our team for the upcoming busy season, and beyond!
Experience in the industry (2yrs + ) is a must, working with high end liquor and cocktail/drink preparation making a definite bonus, but training can be provided. Must have a positive can do attitude, be able to work quickly, independently, provide exceptional client service and have willingness to learn about another industry/products to add to the repertoire with our sampling room and everything we will be able to do within it. A knowledge of tobacco products is an asset, but not necessary – just the capacity and willingness to learn more is good for us!

**Important - This work environment will have some tobacco smoke present. Our state of art ventilation system will keep the environment at a level that exceeds the legal required limits through ongoing airflow exchange and ventilation, but some smoke will be present. Key Requirements
- Previous serving experience at a highly competent level is required
- Strong technical bartending knowledge including liquor, wine and beer
- Strong ability to lead conversation in any setting
- Willingness to learn about cigars, tobacco, pipes and more – a growing and evolving knowledge of all that we can offer in our Sampling Room.
- Highly organized
- Energetic and positive
- Ability to demonstrate leadership and make sound judgments with confidence
