Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking dishes, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Duties
- Prepare and assemble ingredients for menu items, including chopping, slicing, and measuring
- Cook dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in food plating and presentation to ensure visual appeal
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including sanitizing work surfaces and utensils
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Support the team during busy service hours by efficiently managing multiple tasks
- Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Adhere to all health regulations and restaurant policies
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service roles within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and basic cooking techniques
- Passion for culinary arts and a commitment to quality service
- Prior experience with serving customers is a plus but not required
